Workpackage WP4: Analog and RF design
consist of training actions and workshops focused on design problems and
design tools for analog design and RF CMOS/BiCMOS/SiGe design, including
wireless communication systems design. Modeling and simulation problems
as well as low power analog design will also be included. It will also
include wide spectrum of topics in the field of wireless communication
standards and their implementation. Problems of RF packaging will also
be included. This workpackage will be co-ordinated by Vladimir State Technical
The main objective of this workpackage is to raise the level of education and research as well as the number of highly-skilled researchers and designers in the fields of analog and RF design, design tools, wireless communication systems design as well as of modeling and simulation in deep submicron VLSI, low power VLSI design, and RF IC packaging .
Details of the work
communication systems is one of the strategic sectors of European economy.
High precision and high speed analogue circuit design is a crucial engineering
domain here. As a result of rapid increase of the number and complexity
of analog, mixed-signal and wireless systems, the demand for highly skilled
microelectronic designers is growing. This WP aims at raising the level
of education and research as well as the number of highly-skilled researchers
and designers in these fields.
